449632 2006-04-27 04:35:00 How exactly did it not work?
Is the screen powered up, but black?
Are you stuck in standard VGA modes, but can't get the number of colors / size you want?
Is DirectX not working (dxdiag)?

SIS is the chipset on your GFX card. What model is your GFX card?

You might want to consider it a cosmic hint to upgrade your video card. :)

449635 2006-04-27 23:16:00 Not a lot of information to go on. I would try booting into safe mode, and see if the problem temporarily goes away, and reduce the refresh rate and /or resolution.

www.microsoft.com

It sounds like the driver might be "over-driving" the monitor at too high a refresh rate / resolution. Either that or there's another physical problem.
