449523 2006-04-26 05:09:00 Just straight forward manual remove, the same way as you would manually remove any program. First find all the files associated with the application, then delete them, then find and manually delete all registry entries that were added. Terry Porritt (14)

449526 2006-05-08 00:51:00 Wow, I too am interested in pirating Windows like you guys, thought this was not allowd, can we also get pirated versions of Office, Photoshop etc as they are so expensive.
Anyone know where I can get a hot PC with all the latest gear so I can install my pirated software.

Since its dealing with pirated versions of windows, (which is what this update was meant to do) - Show you that you're using it.

Not only that, its bringing out, who's using it, and ways to get around it!

449528 2006-05-08 02:38:00 As always, the Genuine Advantage Validation Tool has been cracked. So that's a very easy way to bypass it. Not that I ever would, or encourage people to do it, of course. roddy_boy (4115)
449529 2006-05-08 02:51:00 What they're talking about here, isnt the tool

Its the notification to tell u whether you're using a pirated version of XP. If you're not, then it wont kill the desktop etc. With the banner/s.

They're different installs.

449530 2006-05-08 03:04:00 Updates can still be done on non-legit versions of windows. Just means they have to be manually downloaded and installed. Greg (193)
