450944 2006-04-30 22:08:00 I have a copy of Norton Ghost 2002 on my workstation, I made a bootable ghost floppy because I misplaced the old one i had, but with this one, every time I boot to the floppy I have to write down this random code on the splash screen so I can put it in a few steps later when I ghost. Do you know anything about bypassing that? when you need to ghost 20 machines its really annoying having to write down a 10 digit code and then putting it straight back in...
cheers

450945 2006-05-01 00:50:00 Hmm.... not a random number with my Ghost 2002, it is the license number which doesn't change.

It has to be entered, I don't know of a way to bypass it, but if your backing up weekly or more often it is easy to remember :)

450946 2006-05-01 00:59:00 There was a way to put into an ini file or similar and then you wouldn't have to enter it every time. I have done it.
Been a while though but I'll see if I can find out how I did it and post back.

Don't think the personal edition of 2002 has the option of supplying the license number from a batch file or similar.

its quite possible it's the same number, it was a while since i ghosted the 20 machines but for some reason i remember it being a different one each time, maybe i'm going gah gah.

hmm maybe the disk that i misplaced was ghost2003 because i didnt have to input any codes into that one...

I have Ghost 2003 and have never had to put in any codes for a boot disk when I use one.
