450135 2006-04-27 22:15:00 My server and xtra should have picked up spam but I got a message from a company called cascadetechnology. At the bottom of the message it has all these random words that mean nothing, so out of interest, why do they do that ? Does it fool spam filters ? :waughh: bruciebear (1478)
450136 2006-04-27 22:53:00 In a word -yes.

Spammers try to get around spam filters by adding in random content to fool the filters into thinking its a normal email that just happens to meantion cialis and viagara a few times. :waughh:

Yes, I have just got one entitled

Toll-free telephone customer support

and the message is:

-Sensattional revolution in medicine!

-Enlarge your p**** up to 10 cm or up to 4 inches!

-It's herbal solution what hasn't side effect, but has 100% guaranted results!

-Don't lose your chance and but know wihtout doubts, you will be i`mpressed with results!
Clisk here: http
etc

I think the mis-spellings etc are deliberate eg - "i'mpressed". However do not understand how it got through though perhaps lots of people use the "p" word in their correspondence :horrified . My asterisks by the way

I have reported this to Xtra Spamreport as I now do two to three times a day with the ones that get through. Hopefully this helps to increase their identification rates. :)
