Look for significant price cuts and service improvements to try and steal a march on the upcoming competition . It's the only real defence they have left and they'd be insane to hold their present ground and hope that they can simply respond to the competition when it arrives . Obviously nobody was fooled by the recent campaign about faster cheaper BB, if I wanted cheaper BB I had to sacrifice a fair amount of download speed and halve my upload! All they were doing was rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic! I bet Mother Teresa's bonus goes down the gurgler after this, and her job may be not far behind . Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 451615 | 2006-05-03 09:55:00 | Anyone considered the ethics of the government action? Telecom paid for the whole setup. Surely it's wrong to take it off them. Then Telecom ,like any other business, set out to make money. I can't see how they can be critised for that. What I'm waiting for is the reaction from the yanks when they find out about it. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if we see a big back down by our government. |

In the other northern western countries already have much higher internet speed than NZ and NZ is like new ADSL country even China have fast internet these days in the city area and so much people using it and is still faster than NZ internet.
