451155 2006-05-01 18:10:00 One of the guy's who has a laptop in my charge here at my office decided he was going to use Hotmail (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) then, he decided he was going to open the attachment file called:

revisedDocument.doc[lotsa spaces] .exe

Now, his computer is infected...its nothing MAJOR but here at the office, we can't have our sales manager's laptop that he takes to Doctors' offices to sell our equipment and protocol then have the detailed anatomy of a female's mammories and the healthy colon of a woman with silicon in her vains pop up over the presentation DVD he uses...doesn't make for an easy sale after that...

451158 2006-05-01 22:12:00 Well, Thanks to the post by kjaada, I was able to figure most of that out, thanks alot.

Speedy, I realized that dcomcfg.exe was a nasty little bug, and spent a while trying to figure out how to get rid of it. I found SmitFraudFix (siri.urz.free.fr) was a good program that got rid of that, and the atmclk.exe - I think it also dropped a few others, but I can't remember what they were called...thanks for the help guys...

As for ticking the dcomcfg.exe - it showed up in the log file, but not as a selectable item in HJT - FYI...Thats why I went and looked for the SmitFraudFix. 		TiJay (6055)
