451120 2006-05-01 16:06:00 I have no idea what is wrong with my pc.

This is what I can tell (but is possibly very incorrect)

I have extremely long boot times from turning PC on till I get into Windows.
It will take around 2-4 mins (except it seems normal in safe mode "which I am currently in").

I get the bios details and normal start up, then the XP (home) load screen for ages, then a blank screen also for ages.

When windows finally starts it will run fine for around 5 mins until (from what I can tell) the hard drive sounds like it is resetting itself and spinning up every few minutes. It kind of sounds like an old school camera flash charging up. After it does this a few times the screen goes a number of strange colours and finally gives me some kind of "blue screen of death" which doesnt hang around long enough for me to read.

My video card has a history of resetting my PC, but has always given me a VPU error warning first. This leads me to believe it is not a video card error, but Im not sure. It doesnt seem to account for the long boot times.

I would love any feed back that could help me out.

I dont think it will help but here is a hijack this log:

451121 2006-05-01 21:12:00 Is that all of the log??

Boot into safe mode, run hijackthis tick these entries, and tick fix checked.

Looks like these 3 belong to adware/spyware.

O2 - BHO: Windows Genuine Tool - {c815ace8-3dbf-4ffd-8231-ab1d21e8b7ee} - C:\WINDOWS\shginas.dll

And these don't have to run on startup
