452430 2006-05-05 16:05:00 Appears to be a rouge spyware program.

Firstly, have you tried removing it through "Add/Remove programs" ?

Then scan with a genuine spyware removal program such as "Spybot S&D" or "Ad-aware", or a one of the paid versions.

452431 2006-05-05 17:06:00 AND If that doesn't help (which it should get most of it cleaned for you) Run HJT and post the log for someone to scan through TiJay (6055)
452432 2006-05-05 19:38:00 Yup dowload S&D (www.spybot.info)

The 1st and 2nd option here. Under download here.

Spywaresoftstop has just been added to the detection updates, as of yesterday.

452433 2006-05-05 20:26:00 Install at least Ad-Aware SE (www.lavasoft.de/) and Spybot (http:). These are free for personal use. None of these programs will catch 100% of the nasties, so you need belt and braces.
They work in different ways. The first searches your whole PC for problems, the second looks in specific places for specific threats.
Don't install the Teatimer option with Spybot. It has a bug and it's a pest.
In addition, I use Microsoft Defender (www.microsoft.com) (replaced AntiSpyware Beta) and ewido (www.ewido.net) as extra insurance. Ewido is a commercial program which finds a lot of stuff the others miss. If I only had one this would be it. If you're not using it commercially it's free, in which case it disables a few non-essential bells and whistles after a trial period.

Another excellent free program is SpywareGuard. This runs in your System Tray and monitors for incoming spyware continuously. Get it here: Javacool Software (www.javacoolsoftware.com)

Don't forget that just like your AV program these must be updated at least once a week. Defender & Spyware Guard do this automatically. Ewido needs to be updated manually after the trial period.

Five programs might seem like overkill but it's not.
