451965	2006-05-05 01:13:00	hey capt'n, i hear ya. try disabling usb port 64\60 emulation in your bios. if this doesn't work, there might be a work around till you solve the prob....go into controlpanel>system>keyboard>disable the keyboard (rt click and choose disable), then enable it. you'll have to do this every time you restart the computer, but at least you have a keyboard for hunting down the prob. hopefully this will work for you. also do a search in here for spud. what you'll get is a thread about my keyboard not working, and all the good advice that users gave me. try some of that stuff after you disable usb port 64\60 emulation in your bios and it doesn't solve anything. good luck hard a labbord, come about and haul spud	spud (10091)
451966	2006-05-05 03:00:00	"usb port 64\60 emulation" is probably not an option in most BIOSs. ;) It's more commonly called something like "legacy human device interface support". Try turning it on if it's off; or off if it's on. :cool: The BIOS setup should work with either ... but that's not guaranteed: it took a long time for most manufactureres to understand USB. That's why I suggested slaving the HDD and scanning it for viruses and spayware/malware etc. Might as well struggle with a clean disc rather than one full of rubbish. Cheers Billy 8-{)	Billy T (70)
