| 452704 | 2006-05-06 08:29:00 | :waughh: Can anyone recommend a really effective, easy-to-use and SAFE firewall program for my pc and possibly provide a link to the download site/file? I'm currently running Windows XP 2002 Home Edition and have been advised against using the standard Windows firewall. However theres a mind boggling amount of choices out there and I don't know where to start! Everyone I ask has a differing opinion & I don't want to compromise my pc security if I can help it. I'm a newbie to all this computer stuff and any help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks! |

| 452705 | 2006-05-06 08:37:00 | Most of the members use ZoneAlarm. I used to too but had some conflict with some other program that never got identified or resolved. Now I use Kerio. However you will probably be fine with ZoneAlarm which normally suits and is very good ! Misty :thumbs: |

BUT, if u want an AV program you could try AVG (www.grisoft.com) There's a free version here somewhere. (I think). Or is there another site for the free version? |
