| 453684 | 2006-05-10 06:53:00 | My 2Mbit connection has within the last few weeks been downloading incredibly slow at around 40 KB/s (only 420kbps) for much of the day(time wise). Around 7am the speed is what I have traditionally got 240 KB/s (1920kbps) so I believe the issue is loading I just got off the phone to Ihug and they admit many parts of the Bitstream Network is badly congested (no great surprise) however there is no fix in sight. I am going to keep hassling both Telecom and Ihug until this issue is fixed and hope others will do the same that are experiencing similar performance. |

| 453689 | 2006-05-10 10:17:00 | Me too, Im in Porirua & only 1km from a beastie exchange, been about 3-4 weeks for me, same as you....prior to my "upgrade" to 2mb I would get a constant 968 odd kbps on a 1mb plan. We really shouldn't have to pay full price when they cannot deliver what they advertise. Cheers KiwiMR2 |

| 453690 | 2006-05-10 22:23:00 | here in glen eden i get download speeds of about 50-80kbps...not 250kbps, just 50-80, its bs, i know, im on 2mb and should be getting 2mb, not 512 or 1mb, anyway, i think i should break into the exchange...its that green box about 3ft high and about 1.5ft wide isnt it? anyway, break into that, make my internet 100mb, problem fixed..if only it were that simple, anyone here work at telecom and could help me out with this? :D | jesse_jax (9283) | ||
