453694 2006-05-10 06:51:00 There is no need to make new posts on the same topic when you have already asked this question here (www.pressf1.co.nz).

As for a recommendation QMB has been mentioned on this forum recently.

453696 2006-05-10 11:33:00 Sorry if you felt I made you unwelcome, it wasn't intentional . Keeping related posts in the same thread is encouraged here in order to help those providing assistance .

I don't live in Auckland so cannot offer advice on good retailers but there have been other threads asking the same so you could try a search on the forum to find them . As I said previously, QMB has had a few recommendations here .

A better option may be to select a few dealers and ask whether other people have had good or bad experiences with them . One place that gets a lot of negative feedback is Supercheap so it would pay to steer clear of them .

453698 2006-05-10 12:22:00 If you are buying components to build your own, you can try online reseller www.c1com.co.nz. Their prices are very competitive and provide very good service. They also build systems to order.

If you want a retailer, try PBTech in Penrose. They have plenty of floor stock for you to browse. Saturday is always a busy day there and parking can be difficult.

I have had good experience with both.

Just be wary - they used to install xp corp & other ms stuff free for Asian customers, as do some other small pc shops
