453461 2006-05-09 12:02:00 I have a second computer which runs Windows ME. My usual computer has XP Home on it and I am wondering whether I can use my XP disc and install XP on the second computer. If so, what does it involve ? Thanks in anticipation. Barbt (10378)
453462 2006-05-09 12:16:00 It involves the purchase of another copy of XP, the activation requirments will mean the second install will lock you out of the computer after a month.

And the system will probally run very slowly, XP requires more resources then WinME.

I don't like "in-place" upgrades; I strongly prefer rebuilds from scratch.

Checking the hardware of the Win ME PC can actually handle XP for a start. It may not and therefore it will just run like a crippled pig.
