Thats if the SATA 2 hdd has a switch to switch it to SATA 1 speed. It'll only run at SATA 1 speed. On a SATA 1 system. BUT you cant run a SATA 2 hdd on a SATA 1 system, at SATA 2 speed. The mobo / system wont be able to recognise it, or use it. It most probably wont boot. You'll have to get a mobo that supports SATA 2 to run a SATA 2 hdd at SATA 2 speed. |
