My XP's welcome screen always shows "you have xxx unread mail ..." but actually, there isn't any unread mail messages in my Inbox. I have to remove this annoying messages from the Registry every now and then.

I am using Outlook (Office 2003) and hotmail.

Is there anything wrong with my Operating System? Why is it giving false messages? Genuine messages is good but false messages is ANNOYING.

Cheers

453631 2006-05-10 10:39:00 I would like to leave this function ON. It's nice to have this function on provided it is giving the correct information! Otherwise, it is annoying.

Have checked both of my email accounts , 1 hotmail and the other POP3 accounts. There are no "UNREAD" mail.
