| 453409 | 2006-05-09 02:08:00 | How do I set up a footer which is created automatically in Word to show the path and file name + date when the document was last saved? | bpt2 (6653) | ||

For file name and path: Go to Insert > Field > FileName > Field Codes > Options > Field Specific Switches > Add to Field > OK > OK. For date when the document was last saved: Go to Insert > Field > SaveDate > OK (or choose date format required then OK). I notice that although the last saved date will refresh itself the file name and path does not in my version of Word, XP 2002. It does if you click on the file name field and press F9 however. |
