Recommendation:
All selected physical diagnostics passed .

If you are not experiencing data loss and SeaTools reports File
System Structure errors, they may be caused by a lock-up or
failure to shutdown Windows correctly . Many times, these errors
may be repaired through normal system maintenance which
includes using the Windows provided "Defrag" and
"Scandisk / Chkdsk / Error Checking" utilities .

If you are experiencing a hardware error, you should isolate
the cause and replace the failing component . If you are unsure how
to proceed with repairs, contact a computer professional . After
completing any maintenance tasks, run SeaTools again to
verify that all errors have been repaired . If errors continue to
occur, the system may not be stable . Again, contact a computer
professional .

Now I know it is physically fine, but what can I do about the File Structure?

Thanks :)

453394 2006-05-09 03:13:00 I ran a check disc from Windows, but it needed to reboot to do it, I done this for the Storage partition I ticked both boxes, will that do what you said?

How/where do I type that in?

453395 2006-05-09 03:13:00 BACK UP YOUR IMPORTANT STUFF FIRST

If chkdsk doesn't spin yopur wheels, you could try a diagnostics/rescue disc, as I believe the XP chkdsk is not as effective as older version (grain of salt, can't remeber where I heard that).

453396 2006-05-09 03:14:00 Type it in the recovery consol with you XP CD in the drive, or from a boot disc with the appropriate files/tools. Murray P (44)
453397 2006-05-09 04:07:00 SeaTools is not made for NTFS format, only windows chkdsk can do that, just in case your drive is NTFS.
I found that out after lots of trouble.

453398 2006-05-09 08:21:00 I am in the middle of copying everything off and looking at a full format . . .

I thought so but wasn't sure .

Yes, 3 out of the 5 drives (including partitions) are NTFS and they all had the exact same error

is there another program that will test the FS that is good with NTFS so to speak?

Would that command work on a drive in a USB enclosure . I bought a new 300Gb drive and partitioned it into 3 partitions and filled two . The other day when I plugged it in the 1st two partitions didn't come up under windows and the 3rd was said to be unallocated .

Partition Majic can see them and says that the 1st two are full of folders and files but windoz doesn't . . . :-( Win XP . The drive case is USB2 BTW
