| 454486 | 2006-05-12 13:25:00 | I've just done a clean install of windows & realised I forgot to backup half life 2. I haven't wiped the partition it was installed on yet, so is there any way I can move it to my new instilation? reinstalling would be a serious pain in the ass because I would have to suffer through the decryption process, then download all the updates from version 1.0 to now. That must be a lot of data. |

When Steam is finished updating, Right Click 'My Games' tab / Backup Game Files Expect a LARGE 3-4 gig exe. And when its ready... Burn to DVD and then TEST IT on another computer. Don't go through the same agony as Metla |

| 454489 | 2006-05-13 23:50:00 | It is saying that CS:S & hl2 aren't installed (which is wrong) & when I click install, steam gives me the message "the steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request". I've been trying since yesterday with no luck. It recognises that I have hl2 deathmatch installed, but the update process is stuck at 5% |
