454140 2006-05-11 11:39:00 Just a quick question.
My father has just ordered a new wireless router, and I need to get a wireless adapter for my computer, whether it's USB or a PCI card.
Which is better in the way of performance? DSE has a 54mbit pci for $54 i think, the usb adapter is around the same price.
> USB can be moved around whereas the PCI is stationary..

so..?

454141 2006-05-11 11:45:00 Are you going to move the USB device around??

My choice, get the PCI card.

454142 2006-05-11 12:07:00 I agree pci is the better option, I've previously experienced "issue's" with usb wireless adaptors......fropping out & being inconsistant. I have NO issues at all with my d-link pci card. Dse, Noels sells D-link pci cards for $59, Im sure you could even get them down the the $50 mark without much effort:

454143 2006-05-11 20:15:00 I prefer PCI. I might be able to get something pretty cheap wholesale through work. I'll look into it, thanks for the help ;) jermsie (6820)
