| 454463 | 2006-05-12 09:30:00 | Hi im trying to delete an AVI (video) file which i cant seem to delete it. When i tried to delete it is says "Cannot delete file "blablalblab.avi". It is being used by some person or program. Please close the program and try again. I have tried to restart the computer and delete it without opening any program and it comes with the same error. I have checked for programs running in the background and its none of the programs i have installed. I can play the file and then close it. But cant seem to delete it. I have only 1 computer and windows XP. Media players i have are VLC, media player and real player. Any suggestions???? Thanx |

| 454465 | 2006-05-12 09:36:00 | When you select an avi file Windows trys to read some info from the file like resolution, duration etc. This can take from a few seconds to a minute or two depending on the size of the file and speed of your PC. In Windows Explorer go to View and turn on the Status Bar then select an avi file and wait for the status bar to display the file info then you should be able to delete it. |
