453907 2006-05-10 22:15:00 I wish to format DVD-RAM discs so that I can use them in my computer for data recording. Hardware is WinXP Pro and Pioneer DVD burner. I also have available an Imation external burner. Software is either ULead Burn Now or Nero 6. Neither of these programs support formatting DVD-RAM to FAT 32.

I understand that either Panasonic or LG burners will do the job but I do not really want to buy a new burner just for this. Is there any workaround, please?

Thanks in advance for any help.

453908 2006-05-10 22:24:00 According to the Wikipedia site (en.wikipedia.org)
you may need INCD (another program from Nero). To format it in FAT32.

Or something like CD Creator / DirectCD.

There is an erase option in Nero Express / More / Erase disc (which is down the bottom of Nero Express). Not sure, whether this will format DVD-RAM in FAT32 tho.

BUT, unless the burner supports burning / writing to DVD-RAM, I doubt it'll work.

453910 2006-05-10 23:53:00 Which model of the burner have you got??

Does the burner support writing to DVD-RAM??

Is INCD the latest version?
