| 454595 | 2006-05-13 04:31:00 | Three years ago I bought a computer from Future Shop and have had no trouble with it. I now find I need to wipe my drive and re-instal Windows XP Home. The only CD I got with the computer was "Cicero Operating System Recovery CD" Is this all I need? teeray |

Just call them on their freephone number 0800 800 004. You'll need to send them your original restoration disc and copies of your receipt and product key sticker. Some people might deem it prudent to copy the restoration disc before sending it back, but I couldn't possibly comment on that. pressf1.co.nz) Why do you need a real Windows CD? Because Windows is forever asking you for it when you make changes. And you need it for System File Checker. Start/Run/sfc /scannow, which is a great housekeeping tool and should be run once a month or so to repair/replace mangled Windows files. |
