| 454490 | 2006-05-12 22:33:00 | We are using Quickbooks 2006 Contractor Edition, Mulit-User . We wanted to manage the user list today so we could create a user account for a new employee . When I try to add a user, I get the following warning message: You don't have permission to set up users . Only the QuickBooks Administrator can do it . You must reopen the company file and log in as #d@,%j-i*b1!vOy to set up users . So I checked the user list . A user account which none of us created with the name #d@,%j-i*b1!vOy shows up in the list above the Admin user account . Fearing file corruption, I ran the file verification and it came back clean - apparently there is nothing wrong with the data file . So, I called Tech Support at Intuit . It took me no less than 10 minutes to get the guy to understand what I was trying to tell him . His only answer was to restore from backup . Are there any ideas on what caused this and how to fix it before I go through and restore every single back up from who-knows-from-how-long-ago? |
