455455 2006-05-17 04:42:00 Hi im new to the forums and looking for some help, now I have researched this topic alot and it seems to be in my favor but I asked a person I work with and he said this wouldn't work now here is my problem.

Ok I just purchased a MB PCCHIPS P25G V3.0 P4M800CE 478 Motherboard, now im going to take parts from my current PC to put them in the new MB, now while I know all my other pieces are compatible with the new motherboard there is one piece im unsure of which is my RAM.

My current a system is running on 1600/2100 RAM ( 2x 256 2700 Backwards compatible / Soyo P4-VGA. ) and all I need to know is will this RAM work on the new motherboard I bought. The RAM supported by my New MB is 3200 but I heard in some cases the RAM would just run at 2700 speeds. I know I need to buy new RAM and all but I can't afford it right now and I was desperate for a new MB so basically I want to make due with what I got and eventually move up to better hardware.

Thank you.

455456 2006-05-17 05:20:00 It'll work. The RAM will be worked at its maximum speed which may slow things down a bit, but it should run fine Myth (110)
455457 2006-05-17 06:14:00 just stuff it in and try it wont do any harm

if it doesn't work it'll just either beep at you or simply not start........
