455236 2006-05-16 05:51:00 I remember in the last office I worked in, the big company printer could print on both sides of the page. Is there a home printer that will do that when selected to? PJ  Poppa John (284)
455237 2006-05-16 06:18:00 Hi PJ Most small/domestic printers I have used will do it. My current one is an old Epson 440. When you select File > Print the dialogue box offers you the ability to select Manual Duplex. Prints the first side and waits for you to reverse the paper and print the second side. Does the same for big documents... prints 1,3,5,7 etc first. Scouse (83)
455238 2006-05-16 06:54:00 I have a Canon IP 3000 and it will duplex without having to reload the paper yourself. I know some HP's do that as well. Sam I Am (1679)
455239 2006-05-16 07:21:00 I have a Canon IP4000,discovered the duplex system and have set it to that mode in control panel.
Worth having just watch it spit it out then suck it back in,marvellous.

455240 2006-05-16 07:22:00 As you will have seen from the above responses, look for 'duplex' in the specs for a printer. I have an HP 2300d laser printer, and it does this, but I think it is now a discontinued model. John H (8)

I have a Canon that does duplex printing as well and the kids make fun of me because I like to watch the paper spit out then get sucked back in again.

Well, it is clever, isn't it? :p

455244 2006-05-16 10:49:00 i got canon pixma 2000
it's deplux setting..well.. no paper get sucked..
you have to do it urself
but.. the driver that the printer use makes it easier by telling you how to flip and oriantate the paper which might help if you're not sure
duno if that counts as printing deplux..sure works though..just not very 'automatic'

455245 2006-05-16 10:57:00 it still counts as duplex printin, but it isnt "Automatic Duplex Printing"
anyways, canon is a good bet especially if the printer can do automatic duplex printing (ie can automatically suck the paper back in)
