| 455704 | 2006-05-18 07:47:00 | I have just unpacked my new epson rx530 multi-function. I have not yet installed. Reading the user guide I find no mention of OCR. There appears to be no OCR software on the installation cd. The epson.co.nz/owners website is useless on this question. What ocr is compatible? Where do I get it? Will it actually DO OCR? Previously I have been using an HP scanjet 4200c. and have that ocr software. System is Windows XP. I bought the Epson for the film and slide copy facility and expected that all multifunctions would include OCR. I'd be grateful for any help in this. Devizer |

Theres also: OmniPage Pro and Textbridge Millennium Pro. Are there any free OCR packages available? Here are a few: http://www.simpleocr.com/ (Windows) www.expervision.com (Windows) |
