2006-05-16 09:35:00 I recently had my computer fixed, only to find it now plays all my video and music files at DOUBLE SPEED! This happens regardless of whether I use Windows Media PLayer or Winamp. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs with no luck. After talking to an IT manager for a firm at home all he said was "it is something to do with the settings" and that it had something to do with what khz the file was and what the programs were choosing to play it at. Let me know.

Thanks guys,
Kimberly

2006-05-16 10:04:00 Right click while the media is playing on the progress bar or at the end of it, then select the speed.. SolMiester (139)
2006-05-16 10:08:00 when i right click on the progress bar of both winamp and media player there is nothing there to suggest anything about the speed. kimberlyskilton (10414)
2006-05-16 10:10:00 majority of my files are just mp3s like most, and the odd video and wav files. I don't really know what other details I can give you I'm sorry. Nobody wants to go back to using the good old cd player now ay haha :) kimberlyskilton (10414)
2006-05-16 10:13:00 try while media playing CRTL+SHIFT+N to put to norma, with S for slow & F for fastl SolMiester (139)
2006-05-16 10:15:00 ok, when you say your computer was "fixed" what does that mean? was it neutered? lol, anyways explain what was fixed? also, the files you are trying to play were on your computer when it was 'fixed'? muzzle (10342)
2006-05-16 10:25:00 I pressed control shift N and nothing happens. Please note when you are suggesting these to me (in which I am incredibly grateful thank you) that I am trying them in winamp and media player. kimberlyskilton (10414)
2006-05-16 10:32:00 I have also just noticed that up the top of Winamp, where it states the "KBPS", it fluctuates between 96, 128 etc. etc. Its constantly changing. kimberlyskilton (10414)
2006-05-16 10:36:00 lol no it wasn't neutered haha. Thats made my day. It wasn't starting up, apparently it was a hardware problem. But that problem is gone and now i have a different one! such as life! kimberlyskilton (10414)
