455220 2006-05-16 03:45:00 Thanks for reading - can you tell me if you can buy a device, I'm thinking it might be called a 'USB Server', that will enable sharing of a USB TV Tuner over a network?

ie. I want to get a USB TV Tuner box, like this: www.hauppauge.com
and connect it to my wireless router so I can pick up the encoded TV signal on any PC on the network - has anyone done this?

Seems like a good idea to me - means I can watch TV on my laptop whereever I am in the house, or around about.

455221 2006-05-16 04:26:00 The USB TV tuners rely on the "host PC" to provide the processor to make them work -they are not an intelligent device.

Your wireless router only has intelligence as a router, not as the driver for the USB tuner.

Not sure that there is an easy solution to what you want, commercially available.
