| 1402389 | 2015-06-17 04:31:00 | Hi Wainuitech (and others) I think I am making progress. I have successfully downloaded the offline installer and have it saved. Just for my piece of mind could you please confirm that the following proposal is the best and safest way to proceed: 1. Disconnect from the internet. 2. Use the uninstall tool to remove the current ESET programme. 3. Install the offline installer. 4. Reconnect to the internet and look for updates. I would appreciate any suggestions. I should perhaps mentioned that I had originally installed from an ESET Smart Security disc (purchased) but I believe I only installed NOD32 i.e. not the other bits and pieces. Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully this is the last you will hear from me on the subject (here's hoping). Michael |

| 1402391 | 2015-06-18 05:48:00 | Hi all, Progress at last! Successfully removed NOD32 then installed the offline installer. Went back on line and looked for updates. ESET tells me that the signature database is up to date and the version is 11085. HOWEVER, Belarc tells me the database is more than 30 days old and upon looking further I note that the database is dated 28/01/15. Something doesn't seem right here. Progress on another front - saw a Transfield person talking to one of our neighbours for some time a couple of days ago. Perhaps progress is being made towards installing ultrafast fibre in the right of way. Thanks for the help!!!! Michael |

| 1402393 | 2015-06-18 05:57:00 | clutching at straws but, there is an option in NOD to clear the signature cache (Clear update cache, in 'advanced setup' ). That sometimes works wonders when the sig wont install. | 1101 (13337) | ||
| 1402394 | 2015-06-18 08:00:00 | I had to do that when my CMOS battery died last weekend and NOD insisted my virus sig was incorrect. | gary67 (56) | ||
