| 456089 | 2006-05-19 09:53:00 | I just bought a second hand PC, and I don't have admin access. I Tried using the net user command in DOS, I can create new users, but I can't give them admin access. When I use the command: net user localgroup "Administrators" <usernamehere> /add all I get is a message telling me the correct syntaxes (which I don't know how to use): img223.imageshack.us (http://imageshack.us) Any Help ? |

| 456097 | 2006-05-19 23:17:00 | The thing is, I lied in my original post, I am doing this at college, I only want admin so I can set up the account on the network so I can access the internet using it (I can use the internet on my proper user account, but it has restrictions in terms of downloading). I also wanted to set it up so I can access the HDD remotely from anywhere on the network (I know how to do this, but I also need admin for this). So, if anyone knows how to use the syntaxes to change the user account to admin, I would appreciate the help. - Thanks, Dave |
