455973 2006-05-19 05:12:00 Hi There

Just wondering anyone faces this problem before. In Ms Word 2002, when I cut text to be pasted, it does a screen capture instead. Regardless of any document or blank document, when I press "end" key, pgup, pgdn, it also does a screen capture. Using Ctrl C also result in the same problem. I have read the Ms KB555173 but it is of no use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :annoyed:

455974 2006-05-19 06:25:00 Have you tried using the mouse to cut, copy and paste? Do any other commands result in the screen capture? pcuser42 (130)
455975 2006-05-20 23:13:00 Yes, using the mouse to cut and paste captures the screen as well. I have re-installed Ms Office, but problem still persists. Fredtan (9581)
455976 2006-05-21 01:29:00 Wow. That's a rather cruel problem to have. Have you done all the anti-malware checkings yet?

Cheers :)

455977 2006-05-21 05:31:00 This is a office notebook with all the firewall and anti-virus in place. Even the IT contractor is unable to solve the issue. I thought it could be some driver conflict issue but nothing was installed other than the standard drivers that comes with the IBM notebook. We have 3 other similar notebooks but none have this problem. Fredtan (9581)

455979 2006-05-21 21:12:00 I have a USB keyboard attached to the notebook. I have the replaced with a new one as well. I will use the keyboard of the notebook instead. Thanks for all the advice. Will keep let you all know the source of problem if I can find it. Fredtan (9581)

Does it do it in notepad too? Have you got any 3rd party screen capture software installed?
Is your keyboard set to standard US?

455981 2006-05-22 21:19:00 The keyboard is standard US. No 3rd party software is installed other than the standard IBM software that comes with the notebook, filemaker pro and ms office suite. Oh there is this spambayes (anti-spam software). It affects just Ms Word only. I have 3 other similar notebooks with same applications installed without any problems.

The user did download photos from her digital camera Olympus C-480 using USB connection. I understand it uses the default usb driver of XP Pro. No dirvers of the camera were installed on the system.
