I have the same reader as SG, which does not take the XD format (but handles all the common cards), however I also have a network printer with the capabilities of reading all cards including Xd . Pity you bought a camera that only uses Xd cards . On the subject of USB Hubs, Jaycar have a nice little 7 port powered USB 2 . 0 hub . DSE don't have a lot in stock in that area at present it seems . |

With only the superior Xd card I can't quite see what the advantage is of plugging into a reader over just plugging into PC with USB? Will look into the Hub and thanks for info . |

Nothing really, they do exactly the same thing (lets u plug cards into them) . I spose it depends if your place is a mess, or you havent got too many USB ports left . I use an internal reader, coz the USB headers are there on the mobo . And I might as well use them . And those are the only USB 2 connections left (since I've got the mouse in the front USB port, a USB WLAN, a USB 1 . 1 hub, a printer, and an Ipod plugged into the back of the case) . BUT I still have 2 spare USB ports on the front of the case . And 5 spare USB ports on the hub . |
