455841 2006-05-19 19:38:00 Found it, fitted 11/04/05:
USB 2.0 PCI Card, 4+1 Port, NEC chipset

This www.st-lab.com is the download page for the card fitted.

Try the previous methods first, if that dosent work you could try the drivers on that site.

:D Your setup disc was a great coaster, in fact I used it for more than 6 months, untill I updated it with someone eleses Windows XP Home disc.

Thanks Rob,all seems to be well with new USB2 cable.

455844 2006-05-19 23:45:00 Altho, if u get an internal card reader, you'll have to have onboard USB 2 headers on the mobo. To plug it into.

And if your system can boot from USB keys, just buy one of these for $30-35, then u wont need a floppy at all.

If you are serious then you might want to consider an external USB card reader rather than the installed/fitted type . The advantage of one of those is that, apart from not having to get Rob back to install it :p, the reader can be used to download your pics on other PCs . So you can then pop around to your mate's place with your camera and card reader and download pics to his PC instead of emailing them or burning to a CD .

Oh, and you get to make full use of your new fancy USB port, too . ;)

If you do fancy getting one be very careful to ensure that it will read your camera's type of memory card as it may be one of the less common card types . Ascent has a good selection of readers .

455846 2006-05-19 23:59:00 Most internal card readers can read most cards .

The one here can read MS, MS Pro/SM/SD/CF/MMC/MD .

Only card it wouldn't read, would be the XD ones .

Most probably coz XD cards didnt exist, when this card reader was out .

This internal card reader ( . edencomputers . co . nz/p . aspx?317547" target="_blank">www . edencomputers . co . nz) looks like it will read anything . Including XD .
