455993 2006-05-20 02:35:00 Not all sites, some sites - local and International

I uninstalled and reinstall late last night.

455994 2006-05-20 02:41:00 I get a similar error ususally when I'm on this forum. It keeps on timing out.

It doesnt happen anywhere else.

Another annoying "bug" I've noticed with FF, is if you shut down a PC, (if firefox is still running, with one or more pages / sites showing), it'll corrupt everything in FF.

I did this a few times. And the next time I ran FF, the bookmarks, the passwords, the home page, and default download folder had disappeared.

I had to reconfigure everything, all over again.
Strange,I go to F1 frequently and only use FF.I can not recall ever getting the timeout message.

455995 2006-05-20 02:45:00 Nope. It is occurring again.

Maybe I should change back to good old IE???

455996 2006-05-20 02:46:00 When u next have a problem try going to a NZ site or any other site and c what happens.I feel site overloading is the problem. kjaada (253)
455997 2006-05-20 03:08:00 Thats yr choice but the risks are well known.
As a longtime user of FF I find yr problem (and Speedies)
very strange.

I have been getting the same message frequently on all sorts of sites; local and international. The only potential cause I can see is trying to open, or refresh, several tabs at the same time. :(

Run system file checker. Good to do every couple of weeks anyway.
I use the latest versions of FF in Windows and Ubuntu. I've had no problems.
BTW, IE7 beta 2 is excellent. MS got it right for once. Remains to be seen whether or not it's full of security holes.
If I wasn't migrating to Linux I'd prefer it over FF. Apart from the foot long address bar.

I have only recently moved from IE to Fire Fox. The problem
started as soon as I started using Fire Fox. As a matter of fact I ran System File Checker just before installing FF. :)
