2006-05-19 07:20:00 | Open Firefox with a blank page. You probably know already but just in case: Tools/Options - select General tab, select "Use blank page". Clear your Cache, Download Manager History, and History. Close Firefox and reopen. Might work - might not!

2006-05-19 07:34:00 | Further to my previous post. Found this at: wiki.mozilla.org "The connection was reset The connection to the server at %address was reset while the page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any addresses, check the computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web." 300 odd links come up with the following search string: firefox "the connection was reset "

2006-05-19 07:47:00 | I get a similar error ususally when I'm on this forum. It keeps on timing out. It doesnt happen anywhere else. Another annoying "bug" I've noticed with FF, is if you shut down a PC, (if firefox is still running, with one or more pages / sites showing), it'll corrupt everything in FF. I did this a few times. And the next time I ran FF, the bookmarks, the passwords, the home page, and default download folder had disappeared. I had to reconfigure everything, all over again.

2006-05-19 09:14:00 | It's annoying! The frequency is increasing tonight. Remembered, it's after I updated FireFox. - can't remember exactly, what, though. Any new version ? I am using 1.5.0.3

2006-05-19 10:53:00 | 1.5.0.4 should be coming in the next couple of hours, wait for the update, already out but the server is overloaded. | zqwerty (97) | |

2006-05-19 23:58:00 | I get a similar error ususally when I'm on this forum . It keeps on timing out . It doesnt happen anywhere else . Another annoying "bug" I've noticed with FF, is if you shut down a PC, (if firefox is still running, with one or more pages / sites showing), it'll corrupt everything in FF . I did this a few times . That's strange, Speedy One> When I shut down (Windows Key, then U, and U again), the next time I sign onto Firefox, it asks me if I want to re-establish the links or tabs I had up when I shut down . . . they call it "Crash Repair" . I do use the Firefox Crash Repair once in a while, other times, not . It seems to not corrupt anything as much as youse guys say . As far as time-outs, I get them on F1 sometimes too . I have played with leaving the pointer on the link or not . It SEEMS to load F1 faster if I pull the pointer away from the link after I click it . . . . might just be me . . . or not .
