| 456472 | 2006-05-20 11:01:00 | Hi all. Ive got a bit of a problem with a pc im working with. When trying to connect to the internet using a 56k internal modem, the pc just restarts. I here the "click" then a few dialed numbers and then it resets, no error messages nothing. The modem is installed, and has the drivers. What do you think the problem is? Winxp SP1 (i dont have the sp2 disk  ), 256mb ram.Intel 56k HaM modem (the dse one). I have no idea how to get this fixed. :stare: |

| 456474 | 2006-05-20 12:02:00 | This is what i get on the blue screen now: " The problem seems to be caused by the following file: IntelH51.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Technical Information" ***Stop: 0x00000050 (0xf9180696,0x00000000,0xf914ff61,0x00000000) *IntelH51.sys - address F941FF61 base at F912F000, Date stamp 3b979e83" well that means a whole lot of mumbo jumbo, but i do see that IntelH51.sys is a problem. What do i do? |

| 456476 | 2006-05-20 12:31:00 | This is a V.92 modem and according to some research I have done, your problem could be caused by your ISP not supporting the V.92 protocol. Trevor :) |

| 456477 | 2006-05-20 12:34:00 | I belive i have fixed it. I downloaded a new IntelH51.sys file, replaced the old one, rebooted, reconnected and it connected to the internet. Now just to wait and see what happens. Thanks all. [edit] should have mentioned that the isp is xtra, flat rate dialup |
