I have managed to get most of the way through using my Windows XP disc but it has now asked for my office 03 disc. I have put it in but it cannot find and DATA1.MSL file that is required to make it work. Can some one please help me get this problem sorted. I have tryed googleing for this file but to no avail. Any help would be great. Cheers Guys |

| 456222 | 2006-05-20 00:46:00 | What fax program is this for?? Is it the fax program, whatever it is, asking for this? Or when you're installing the modem itself?? I cant find this file either on the office cd. It maybe in one of the cab files in it. BUT, I dont know what the office cd has to do, with a fax program. |

| 456223 | 2006-05-20 00:54:00 | Thanks speedy. I am just installing the MS type generic fax out of the add printer / fax in controll panel. I have downloaded the Office 2000 update which contains the DATA1.MSB file but not .MSI. I am guessing that it requires this for use in outlook as I have tried to use the fax in outlook but keeps coming up with internal errors. No codes or any other information apart from this. :badpc: |

| 456224 | 2006-05-20 00:55:00 | So Sorry I have made an error myself. The heading is meant to read DATA1.MSI not .MSL. So sorry, can someone try and have a search through there computer for this file to help me out please. Thanks Guys and Girls | CaptinMoor (8392) | ||

If u want to install a fax program, install it from Add / remove programs / add remove windows components / fax services. |

| 456226 | 2006-05-20 01:21:00 | Ok, The modem is installed and working. What I am trying to do is have it so that I can receive and send fax's as if the fax/modem was a printer. Also in MS outlook you can make phone calls to you contacts list through the computer. This is not working or setup properly. This is why I require DATA1.MSI. The only way I know to set a FAX as a printer is to go into printer/fax's in control panel and click on the add fax button. Is there another way? | CaptinMoor (8392) | ||
| 456227 | 2006-05-20 01:30:00 | This (office.microsoft.com) May help. Altho, it looks it you have to be on the net, to use it as a fax. I use Office 2003, but dont use the fax option in this. So, dont know what its like. I use Winfax. |
