| 457212 | 2006-05-23 23:26:00 | I wasnt going to ask this, but figured I should... I am looking for a card about $100. Must be AGP 4x,8x and I am looking for an nvidia (better drivers imho under linux) so therefore directx isnt an issue (linux uses opengl) I have a choice of: Ti4200 (Pixelview or Suma) FX5200 (Gigabyte) FX5500EQ (Albatron-slightly above my price range but can skimp if needed) Which would be the better replacement dollar for dollar for an MX440? (64MB) Sometime in the future I wish to upgrade to PCI-E mobo, CPU and card so Im looking for something that will tide me over without costing too much. Some gaming will be done (UT, possibly UT2k3 or 4 maybe WoW), but Im not looking for anything like Doom3 or HL2 |

| 457213 | 2006-05-23 23:58:00 | I would reccomend the Ti-4200. If my memory serves me correctly, it performs better than the fx5500. It can play UT2004 & HL2. I don't play World of Warcraft, so I can't say if it will be good enough for that. |
