If you click on the Members login link . it takes you to a web site that looks like Trade Me but it doesn't have the Trade me web site name in where you type the web address . and when you login it starts asking you for name address credit card etc .

456956 2006-05-22 23:38:00 Does it convey a sense of urgency? Yes
Does it contain a login link? Yes

Those are things to watch out for.
And the things you pointed out.

I learn my lesson when I stupidly fell for a spam email. No matter how legit the email seems, never follow a link from it. Manually visit your account isntead.

456958 2006-05-23 00:23:00 Just to be sure, why not go to tradeMe (don't click the link in the email! type the address in manually in your browser) and check your account. CYaBro (73)
456959 2006-05-23 01:18:00 TradeMe ask that people forward on any emails that claim to be from TradeMe that are suspected of being phishing attempts. See details here (www.trademe.co.nz). Jen (38)
