457355 2006-05-28 10:04:00 There have been a few hotfixes/patches for WMP 10 .

I think the last batch of fixes/patches took it to 10 . 0 . 0 . 4902 or something .

Can't remember now, I've installed the WMP 11 beta since then . Which isn't too bad . At least it picks up the Ipod here .

Check this forum out ( . videolan . org/viewtopic . php?t=17785&" target="_blank">forum . videolan . org)

Is this morgan stream switcher, wherever / whatever it is installed?

Same error as yours but different build .

457356 2006-05-28 10:09:00 I did think of that earlier but held off. Have now just done that, still the same problem.

It's now looking less like a Win Media Player problem......very strange...

457357 2006-05-28 10:23:00 Have you tried reinstalling WMP??

I've posted the prob in a WMP newsgroup. I'll see if anyone replies.

457358 2006-05-30 02:14:00 Got one reply

Read down in ZachD's site (zachd.com)
about 5 lines down, about mmswitch.ax slapped on the system by dodgy
codec packs. (Looks like this site doesnt like Firefox, use IE).

He also says the updated Morgan Stream Switcher ( www.morgan-multimedia.com)
version may cure the crashing (though the guys system will remain
loaded with lots of dodgy video decoders)

457359 2006-11-26 17:38:00 Ok guys from the other forums, I read that the problem was Morgan Stream w/e, so since I didn't have it I just installed and then uninstalled it and voila! It's working now... :) I hope this works for you too...

you can get that morgan thing here:
