457899 2006-06-01 06:51:00 Sorry about starting another thread, wasn't sure how continue with the discussion.

Alright, I've fixed the items you listed in an earlier posting Speedy, whats the next step?
I'll find some way of copying the files, which ones do I need?

Thats it, just run HJT again, and hopefully the entries u ticked and tick fix checked on, dont appear in it.

If Spybot is installed now, u need the 2nd download the detection updates.

Download and install it, quit Spybot before u install this update. Then run Spybot again and do a scan.

Which is here (www.spybot.info)

If you find that the items you were asked to remove from the log wont go it's because you have TeaTimer running.
Follow the instructions here russelltexas.com and disable Spybot's TeaTimer if the changes are not be saved.

The items you said to fix from the HijackThis log haven't reappeared when another scan is done in Safe Mode. I have also downloaded the latest updates for Ad Aware and SpyBot and more things have been found and removed when scans have been done.
My computer is still taking an eternity to start up etc, also when starting up normally the screen is still at a very low resolution and I am still unable to change the display settings.
What else needs to/can be done (if anything) to fix this?
