457481 2006-05-24 21:23:00 Some of you may remember, a couple of weeks I was having all sorts of problems with my new computer.
After two weeks of testing I have reached the following conclusions.

NVidia fire wall is a heap of crap. It blocks input from CD and from floppy. If there is any way to alter it ,then it is well hidden. If you, or the computer builder installed it, it is necessary to do a complete delete of the entire H/D.
Just uninstalling the fire wall leaves something behind that keeps blocking input. (probably in the registry)

Winzip 10 was allowing downloads which arrived the correct size. But it would not open them. Always an excuse of "missing" files or "corrupt" files
Yet the same downloads opened without hesitation with the XP unzip.
I have now downloaded a copy of Winzip 9 which works perfectly. And it accepted my user name and password.

With those problems solved my comp flies like a jet instead of like a microlight.

I wasn't keen on it and now don't bother with it.

457483 2006-05-24 21:50:00 I use Winzip 10 here. Never had a prob with it.

If Nvidia firewall is installed AT ALL.

It doesnt matter what program u use to unzip/unrar with. It'll be corrupted.

As most sites / forums say, if its installed and running, any files you download, will usually be corrupted.

Just dont install Nvidia firewall. End of story.
