458754 2006-05-29 05:00:00 I built a computer recently. I turn it on no problems, even the CD/DVD drive working but after a short time Windows doesn't detect it. It instead shows a drive B:\, which doesn't exist. It is a Sony DDU1615. :help:

458757 2006-05-29 21:12:00 The BIOS is showing it correctly?
Have you tried going into Disk management and manually assigning it to D: or E:?

458758 2006-05-29 22:01:00 It works fine as drive D:, but a short while later it won't eject. This is when Windows doesn't see it, and sees a drive B:. BIOS sees it. pcuser42 (130)
