| 458725 | 2006-05-29 03:27:00 | I have a small question regarding a wireless network I try to set up. I use the Netgear WPN824 wireless router together with the USB modem and after setting everything up I was amazed with the speed I got (on Xtra broadband). But the problem is that if my flatmates try to connect their laptops per Ethernet cable to the router, my laptop (which is on the wireless adapter) looses the connection. They however, have a connection through the cable as per normal. I’m a novice in networks and someone told me that it might have to do something with a fixed IP address. But that doesn’t help me much as I don’t know how to fix it. Anyone able to help? All comments are appreciated and Thank you in advance. |
