| 458641 | 2006-05-28 22:54:00 | Hi there, I use Thunderbird as my email program and use a font called Bradley Hand ITC when I get a reply from my emails and check mail in my sent box I have characters in my mail which have been added since it was sent like an extra s and foreign hyphens. Please tell me what I need to change and where to go to do it as it's so irritating. Or maybe I need to change the font. Thanks. Here is an example............in the original email i had written encase and this is how it turned out after it was sent encase. [/size] |

| 458642 | 2006-05-29 00:24:00 | Could be that the people you send to do not have Bradley Hand font. Every issue of MS Windows, where the fonts reside, has had a different set of fonts installed. If my system receives a strange font, it looks through its own font list and tries to match the one you sent in..... probably clear as mud but that's my understanding. Try it with a different/standard text font. | Scouse (83) | ||
| 458643 | 2006-05-29 02:23:00 | But in this case Scouse, the poster is saying the font changes in his sent box, it has no "come in" from anone else. The symbol being added is a "caron" in this case. Probably a quirk of Thunderbird when handling non-standard HTML fonts. Its always safer to send plain text emails anyway, many people don't have HTML enabled as it has some security implications (plus it takes up about 7 times more file size). If the recipient has plain text only set, then your font will not even be seen, just plain text (if it converts OK on their system, as per Scouse's post) |
