459194 2006-05-30 23:19:00 A quick question - I'm replacing mobo/cpu/video card/ram in a system but leaving everything else intact. Will win XP still boot fine from the C drive? I know there will be new drivers to install but I'm wondering if I will need to reinstall WinXP with all the system changes going on. Jusy wondering how much stuff to back up! Most of it is not crucial but would be a pain to reinstall.

Copy all the files you want to keep (NOT programs - you will need to reinstall these) on to the external drive, then reinstall XP. Erayd (23)
