| 459109 | 2006-05-30 08:53:00 | Hi Folks I run Spybot and Adaware with AVG. I was running PCcillin but for some reason couldnt upgrade online (the year was up) and no one had the new 2006 pack ( to buy online or at a real shop) so I've gone to AVG with no problems. I've still got PCcillin installed so I spose I should uninstall? I'm also using the Windows firewall. Anything else I should have or is what I'm using OK. What is Windows Defender? Thanks |

| 459110 | 2006-05-30 10:24:00 | Hi Clod 1)- You should never run 2 A/V programs at once, so uninstall 1, AVG works for me (free) 2)- Get a 3rd party firewall such as those suggested in the forum (Zonealarm). Windows XP firewall only guards inbound traffic, NOT outbound 3)- Defender is Microsofts Malware/Anti-Spyware program |
