459111 2006-05-30 08:31:00 Hey People :)

I got a Logitech G7 with the new machine 4 months ago, and recently (with in the last few weeks) has just been 'dropping out' where there is not signal and the curser just stays where it was (this might not happen for a few days, or then again it could happen for 20 times in one day and last for 30-45sec roughly :badpc: ) it is with in 30cm of the reciever, and I have had it working 10m away, so I don't believe it is distance related.

The second thing is in the troubleshooting process I connected it to multipe PCs and tried it, it still dropped out, so this has led me to believe there is nothing wrong with software, or the PC.

And therdly, but not really :p The mouse is only 4 months old, and is still covered by the manufacturers warrenty (3 years) and this has NEVER had any physical dropping or abuse, so I am guessing RMA it?

Just thought I would see what you guys thought because this is REALLY starting to :angry annoy me!! :badpc:

459112 2006-05-30 09:43:00 Batteries? CliveM (6007)
459113 2006-05-30 10:53:00 Hmm, should have mentioned :p the batteries are fine, it has a little LED indicator on it and this happens all over the battery cycle (from when I put a new battery in to when it dies, no matter the chagre) The_End_Of_Reality (334)
459114 2006-05-30 11:24:00 I thought I read somewhere that these mice have an internal battery that can't be replaced, so that when you have recharged it so many times that the internal battery gives up, then you have to buy a new mouse....

IIRC it took a few years for that to happen though.

459115 2006-05-30 11:30:00 The G7 has a battery that slides out and you can replace it with another one that it comes with... But 4 months? The_End_Of_Reality (334)
