| 459751 | 2006-06-01 12:24:00 | time to upgrade~ so..any nz repository mirrors or cd image mirrors? ..don't wanna waste my precious limited international traffic lucky got unlimited national..so..yea personally i use kubuntu so if anyone know a local mirror for that plz tell me thanx! |

I wouldn't mind seeing the logs of ubuntu.com, how much hits they will get this week, and how much TB's of ubuntu will be downloaded. um.. from kubuntu's download site: "Most of our Servers are down due to a heavy load of traffic - 7.8 TerraByte the last 12 Hours." ohwelz..we got our nz server.. ha.just that i downloaded the desktop iso instead of the alternative iso.. so..download again..otherwise can't update from cd..stpuid me.. just another question.. when i run update should i run it in the console instead of inside xorg and kde and stuff saw on ubuntu forum telling you to quit the programs while upgrading so is this what they mean? |

| 459760 | 2006-06-03 10:16:00 | yay after some struggle upgrade done~ manage to fix broken linux stuff within one day.. new record for me :D just a note to those people who want to use cd upgrade.. not sure why but when i do it the cd alone was not enough to upgrade the stuff prob coz i installed other stuff that's not on the cd but the werid thing is i can't even get the system updated without going online to fetch things i would've thought that with the cd at least i can get the bare system upgraded then upgrade the programs i personally use myself..but guess that wasn't the case.. ..yea..just a note to whoever wanting to upgrade.. |
