459563 2006-05-31 21:09:00 Hi there - project for the weekend is to get rid of Norton Internet Security 2005 from my computer and install the above 2 in its' place. Hopefully will see an improvement in computer performance, which can be rather sluggish at times. Can anyone tell me if there are any known pitfalls or shortcuts/tips for the above two programmes that I should be aware of. I suspect my biggest problem will be ridding my computer of all traces of Nortons prior to installation.

Cheers

459565 2006-05-31 21:33:00 Comodo Firewall doesn't support Fast User Switching in WinXP yet. You have to log each user out before another can use the firewall. PaulD (232)
459566 2006-05-31 22:55:00 I use Comodo here, but with Avast .

There's only one user on each of the PC's here, so Fast User Switching isnt a prob .

Its not a bad firewall . Good for a free firewall . Takes a while to set things up, but once you configure it properly, its fine .

I wouldnt get the Comodo Antivirus program tho . Its still too buggy, and using it with Poptray here, crashed it, everytime Poptray scanned for email .

And XP SP2 doesnt detect the AV at all, at the mo . BUT this, so I've read will be fixed .

Just make sure u have SP2, or 2000 SP4 before you install Comodo .

It wont (so it says) run on anything else .
